The course takes place entirely in the forest. Skills are not only practised — they are applied continuously over several days. This is a full survival–bushcraft course with a high learning tempo and strong focus on hands-on experience. Over five days, learning moves quickly from instruction to application. You build, adapt and rely on your own systems: shelter, fire, water, food and camp organisation. A tent remains available as a backup option, but the emphasis is on developing independence in nature and relying on the systems you build yourself. You live outdoors for the full five days. Camp is built, adjusted and maintained as part of the learning process. - You sleep in the shelters you build.
- You manage your fire every day.
- You cook your meals over open fire using fresh products.
Fire, food, water and shelter are not exercises — they are daily systems. The extended duration allows mistakes to surface and be corrected. You experience directly how decisions made on one day affect comfort and efficiency on the next. Skills are tested through use, not demonstration.

This 6-day Arctic winter survival course takes you deep into Swedish Lapland to learn how to function in one of Europe’s most demanding natural environments.
Cold, deep snow, frozen lakes and limited daylight transform even basic survival tasks. Making fire becomes essential. Water is locked beneath the ice. Moving a few kilometres can take hours. Shelter means learning to use the snow itself. Over six days, you learn the fundamentals of winter survival and bushcraft through theory, demonstration and constant hands-on practice. You make fire in deep winter, build and sleep in your own igloo-style quinzee, access water through frozen lakes, practise primitive ice fishing and trapping, craft traditional snowshoes, navigate with map and compass, read snow and ice — and much more. The course is built as a progression. Every new skill is immediately practised and then becomes part of everyday life. The fire you learn to make keeps you warm beside the shelter you built. The water you access through the ice becomes your water supply. Food skills allow you to cook at your own winter camp. Navigation gives you the confidence to move farther into the surrounding wilderness and find your way back. No previous survival experience is required. The course is based around a remote, wood-heated log cabin that remains available throughout as a warm and safe backup. The conditions are real. The training is demanding. But the objective is not unnecessary risk — it is learning how to function confidently and independently in an Arctic winter environment.

This guided hike in the Stockholm Archipelago takes place on Nåttarö, one of the islands of the Stockholm Archipelago Trail. The experience combines a boat transfer, island hiking and time at a sandy beach
Read more
Reach the island by sea – Walk it & Live it for a dayLeave the city behind and cross the Stockholm Archipelago by boat, moving through open water, narrow passages and scattered islands. The experience starts with a boat transfer from Nynäshamn to Nåttarö in the southern Stockholm Archipelago. This is the natural way to approach the archipelago — from the sea, where distances feel different, and the landscape slowly unfolds. We step onto an island we know well — chosen for its mix of forest, coastline and open sea, and for the sense of distance it offers — and begin our journey on foot. We follow parts of the Stockholm Archipelago Trail and move beyond it when it matters. The route is not fixed — it is shaped by experience, by the conditions, and by knowing where the island reveals its best. The terrain shifts as we move deeper. Pine forests give way to smooth granite slabs, low coastal vegetation and open stretches facing the Baltic. Along the way, your guide shares insights into the environment — how trees grow under constant wind, how plants adapt to poor and salty soils, and how life moves between land and sea. At times, the island reveals smaller details — a narrow passage through rock, a hidden formation like the small Drottninggrottan cave — places easy to pass by unless you know they are there. Seabirds follow the coastline, and here and there, signs of more discreet wildlife appear — often unnoticed unless you know where to look. With some luck, seals can be spotted resting on rocks or briefly surfacing, lifting their heads above the water before diving again. There is no rush. The pace follows the island, with time to observe, ask questions, or simply walk in silence. At some point, we leave the main path. The forest opens, the ground softens, and the sound of the sea becomes constant. This is where we stop. A sandy beach — rare in the Stockholm Archipelago — stretches along the Baltic Sea. No rocks, no cliffs, just sand and horizon. Time slows down here. Depending on the season, there is time to swim, rest, or simply sit by the water. We eventually make our way back through the island, following a different line that completes the loop, letting the landscape close in again before we reach the shore. By the end of the day, we return the same way we arrived — by boat — crossing the archipelago with a different understanding of the place.

Embrace the Swedish winter night. Skate on a frozen lake, and the firelit torches show you the way. Awe at the moon- and star light on a clear day, and if we are lucky we can even see the Northern Lights!

This trip is all about catching winter magic: Nordic Skating on a frozen lake with firelit torches showing the way. Enjoying the cozyness of a fire under the star- and moon light, and maybe even the magical phenomen of Aurora Borealis! We will most likely find our selves alone on the ice! The first lap you will do together with your guide, during which they will judge the ice safety and set the course for the evening by firelit torches. Afterwards you can skate at your own pace, taking in the magic. On this tour, you will get more time to yourself compared to our Nordic Skating Day Trip. Meaning you don’t have to stick together as a group. You can take as many (or as few!) laps as you wish. Your guide will always be around, to give tips, tell stories or help you individually if necessary. Full description, booking info, photos

Our 2-Day Nordic Ice Skating experience is designed for people who already know how to skate and want to explore further. Natural ice decides where the journey takes us.

Natural ice never gives us exactly the same day twice — and on a two-day tour, we make the most of that. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, your guides build the journey around the ice conditions available at the time. One day might take us through channels and across a series of smaller lakes. The next could bring us onto a vast frozen lake for a completely different style of skating. Whenever possible, we choose different routes and landscapes for each day. Read more
Are you in Stockholm, hoping to see the Scandinavian winter, and the only thing in sight is the slush in the city centre? If that's the case, join us in discovering Sweden’s Winterland just outside of the city. Let’s admire the nicest frozen lakes Stockholm offers between mid-December and March. It is on those very lakes that we can do one of the most common winter sports in Sweden: Ice skating. During the season, these lakes provide us with the clearest ice, allowing you to skate, at whatever pace you prefer, quietly on the lake while taking in the sounds of the surrounding nature. You’ll also be able to hear the unexpected and magical sound of your blades sliding on the ice. Since the ice changes day to day, depending on the temperature, wind, and snowfall, your guide will take you to the best spot. For your safety, all the tours start with a safety briefing. Then we get down to work to see how comfortable you are on the skates, finishing the training with a little balance challenge.
